Sun Down
Friday, January 15, 2010 at 2:17PM Good day World Wide Web,
Update time. Since just two days ago I had not been in the air for about a month, cold here it was in Edmonton, down to a mind blowing -46 one night, second coldest place on earth that night. After some much needed engine work over those blistery days, I was able to get back in the air this week. My goal was to finish my night rating by the end of the week, long and behold it came true! I lucked out, both nights the temp. was above 0!!! Last night my flight was a staggering 3.3 hrs, that may not seem like a big deal but it is in such a small aircraft. Anyways while I was up there I had a chance to play around with night aerial photography, quite the challenge but doable non the less. I'll be heading out again on the next full moon to get some even sharper images.
Future: I'm continuing to work on my commercial license, online studies mainly. Flight hours I believe I only need about 35 hours to complete, plan to beat off those by the spring time. As for work, i've found myself part time work at a design company, Shamrock Sportswear, designing logo's for school's and well basically anyone who needs something screen printed or embroidered. Other than that, I have received an interesting request for an aerial photography project. Involves an entire grade 5 class, olympic rings and location: school grounds. If this actually pans out, it will be up on my blog within a week.
