Summer

Summer is here, for 3 months.  Busy will be in my vocabulary during this time.  Recently I've been flying for a company out of the states to monitor oil levels here in Edmonton and just east of Edmonton.  Also had a job for a salt plant company, many inquiries, even one inquiring about HD video footage.  I'll post some sample HD aerial video later in the day.

Last week I flew down to see a good friend who is about 75 years old.  He helps me out with my maintenance on FJJP.  Installed a Transponder which allows me to fly in Edmonton's airspace!!! Also put some new wingtip designs on her, increases performance, cruise is increased, stall speed is lessened, and climb rate is better, which is very handy for aerial photography because most of the time it's a lot of up and down in altitude and slow speeds.

The fly in breakfasts are in full force here in Alberta now, so hopefully I can make it to a few of those this summer.  It's a great way to talk to the retired pilots and learn new techniques, I don't think i'll ever learn all there is to learn about aviation.  Mainly because it's constantly being improved upon, new planes with new innovations which makes the pilots job much safer.

I'll leave you off with a couple images of the new upgrades to FJJP.
